ITV1 pulled in 3.04 million the following hour with 'The Bill: Death Knock', taking a 13.3% share and registering the second-best performance in the slot.
The best ratings were for 'The Deep', the BBC's five-part submarine drama starring Minnie Driver and James Nesbitt.
It was watched by 4.83 million, down from 5.3 million on its debut.
Channel 4 documentary 'Who Knows Best? Getting a Job' brought in 1.35 million, or 1.48 million including Channel 4+1 ratings.
'CSI: Miami' beat that for Five, with an audience of 1.92 million.
