Beeb.com reveals new look

LONDON - Beeb.com, the BBC's online shopping portal, has been redesigned to offer more product-focused channels and BBC brands.

The website, which provides a guide to buying more than 1m products, will also integrate personalisation for users, allowing them to register for email updates and save products in their online shopping basket for later purchase.

The site, which has more than 100 e-commerce partners including Marks & Spencer and Amazon, includes price-comparison services and will contain more editorial advice from BBC brands such as Top Gear and Gardeners' World.

Julian Turner, CEO of Beeb Ventures, said, "As the internet continues to evolve, so does Beeb.com. Working closely with technology and e-commerce partners, we've developed a more product-focused proposition, with greater relevance to the user."

Launched in 1997, Beeb.com is part of BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC. It has become the fourth most visited retail website in the UK.
