BBH and Fallon out as Camelot cuts shortlist to five

LONDON - Camelot has narrowed the shortlist for its 拢24m advertising account to five agencies, with a final decision on the account due in January.

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, BMP DDB, TBWA\London, Clemmow Hornby Inge and Delaney Lund Knox Warren all remain in contention, after Camelot cut the long list by eliminating BBH and Fallon.

The incumbent WCRS, which has held the account for five years, declined to repitch for the business.

AMV BBDO is thought to be the front-runner after it recently won the work for EuroMillions, Camelot's new European lottery game, which is due to launch next year with a 拢35m jackpot.

The agency shortlist was drawn up with the help of the AAR. The review will be run by a team comprising Phil Smith, the commercial director at Camelot, Camelot chief executive Dianne Thompson, director of marketing and communications, Jo Kenrick, and the player marketing controller Nicole Louis.
