BBC strikes content deal with The Hollywood Reporter

LONDON - BBC Worldwide has signed a deal to distribute film-related content, such as premieres, award ceremonies and celebrity interviews, from media industry title The Hollywood Reporter through its clip sales arm, BBC Motion Gallery.

nder the deal, signed with Lightworks Programme Distribution, new and archived video clips will be available to BBC customers worldwide at www.bbcmotiongallery.com and via BBC Motion Gallery’s UK and international offices.

Outside the US, the BBC will have exclusive access to Hollywood Reporter footage, and non-exclusive rights in the US.

The Hollywood Reporter breaks Hollywood news across multiple platforms. It concentrates on Los Angeles and high-profile events, but also reports on film business deals across the globe. New footage will be available three to four hours after filming.

The new footage from The Hollywood Reporter adds to the Motion Gallery’s existing entertainment footage, which includes Prince’s Trust events with Elton John and Jay-Z, and footage sourced by the BBC from other broadcasters such as China Central TV and CBS News.
