The Apprentice will become the first extensive broadband experience on BBC two's new-look as part of the BBC's TV Plus trials, which aim to find new ways to engage audiences with programmes and enhance their viewing experience.
As well as the chance to watch 'The Apprentice' again for the duration of the series, there will be "must-see" clips from forthcoming episodes and the opportunity to catch some of the best moments again, including the infamous Sir Alan Sugar firings. There will also be a link to the existing 'The Apprentice' website, which features a new look and feel.
The second series of the Sugar-fronted show begins on February 22 at 9pm, pitting 14 contestants with and against each other in a series of entrepreneurial tasks to win a year working for Sugar on a six-figure salary.
The phenomenal interest in the first series, which was viewed by around 4m people each week, led more than 10,000 applications to take part this time around.
One contestant each week will get the push from the tough and unsentimental Sugar, who has complained that the show has not done anything for his Amstrad business because the BBC does not allow product plugs.
After each show, the ejected contestant will turn up on BBC Three's 'The Apprentice: You're Fired', where he or she will describe their reaction and probably stick the knife into the other contestants.
Roly Keating, BBC Two controller, said: "We've listened to audience feedback and this series we'll be giving viewers a greater insight into Sir Alan's decisions, the firings and the apprentices themselves."
Last year's winner, Tim Campbell, is still the project director for Amstrad's health and beauty division. One of the runners-up, Saira, will be contributing a blog for 'The Apprentice' .
