The title is the third in BBC Magazines' Easy range, which also includes Easy Gardening and Easy Decorating. The title further extends BBC Magazines' food portfolio, which includes BBC Good Food and Olive.
Food expert Sara Buenfeld will edit Easy Food. She was previously food editor on Woman & Home and Living and is the author of several food books.
The title is to launch on June 16 and Dolmio, the Italian cooking sauce, is to be the solus advertiser. Other features in the summer issue include a 16-page pull-out barbecue section. There will be an initial print run of 120,000 copies.
Nicki Hill, the BBC's food group publisher, said: "BBC Easy Food is the perfect addition to our portfolio and is set to become one of the most important food launches of the year."
BBC Magazine's other food titles BBC Good Food and Olive now claim to have an estimated 20% market share. They rival the likes of Seven Publishing's Delicious and The Observer's Food Monthly.
Olive was launched last year to target the "white plate generation" and also features lifestyle and travel content, while BBC Good Food has more than 100,000 subscribers at present. Both magazines have been shortlisted for the Glenfiddich food and drink awards.
