The debut issue will carry an exclusive 16-page Christmas feature from celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and will also be supported by radio advertising, direct mail and sampling with a national newspaper.
Delicious is being targeted at food lovers aged between 25 and 55 years old, with recipes that are easy to prepare and fit into busy lifestyles.
Delicious is the first title to be published by Seven Publishing, which was set up earlier this year by executive chairman Michael Potter, the former founder of Redwood Publishing, and managing director Seamus Geoghegan, former director of lifestyle at BBC Worldwide.
The magazine is being edited by former BBC Good Food editor Mitzie Wilson, with Jo Sandilands, a former programme controller at Capital Radio and editor of IPC's Woman, as editorial director.
Geoghegan said: "People have become so much more passionate about food and there is not yet a magazine that delivers the style and substance they want. Delicious has arrived to fill that gap and grow the audience for food magazines. It's a very exciting start for Seven Publishing and we look forward to more launches in the future."
Delicious will have a coverprice of £2 and an initial print run of 250,000 copies. Inaugural advertisers include House of Fraser, Sainsbury's, Wedgewood and Waitrose.
The title will soon have a rival in the form of a new magazine from BBC Worldwide, codenamed Project Olive. No launch details are currently available about the BBC magazine.
