LONDON - Virgin Media's TV customers can now watch programmes including Robin Hood, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and Later...with Jools Holland, in HD and on demand.
Virgin Media is the first TV platform to make BBC iPlayer available in full-screen picture quality, directly to its TV customers. The BBC content has been available through Virgin since May last year but previously HD content was not shown.
The iPlayer has been accessed on Virgin by 100m viewers since its launch on Virgin Media. It had 15m views last month.
The two remaining Doctor Who specials and the new series of Dragons' Den are now available for catch-up on BBC iPlayer in HD.
