Bauer's Atwal adds Yours magazine to publishing brief

LONDON - Bauer Media has extended the remit of Rimi Atwal, publisher of its parenting magazines, enlarging her brief to include publishing duties for Yours, its women's lifestyle title aimed at the over-55s.

Atwal, who joined Bauer Media (at the time known as Emap) in 2001, was last year appointed publisher of its parenting titles, Mother & Baby, Pregnancy & Birth and health title Top Sante.

At Yours, she will report to Jo Morrell, acting managing director of the magazine.

Yours, which boasted a circulation of 440,070 in 2005, has seen its sales drop in recent years. According to the latest ABC figures, it recorded a circulation of 307,064 in the period July to December 2008, down about 20,000 copies over the year.

Atwal's roles at Bauer have included the post of business director at FHM, as well as publishing positions on titles including Bliss and Smash Hits.
