In the newly created role, Baker will be tasked with launching marketing campaigns to grow audience and will report into Anne-Marie Lavan, the group marketing director for Bauer Media.

She is credited with launching Absolute Radio’s national outdoor and experiential campaign last month, created by Think Farm, which aimed to communicate the station’s "real music matters" positioning.

Baker also played a key role in rebranding Virgin Radio to Absolute Radio, as well as negotiating on sponsorship deals for events led by the radio brand, such as Hyde Park shows during the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Isle of Wight Festival.

Lavan commented: "Clare is an ambitious, talented and proven marketer. She’ll be responsible for the development and execution of our national radio brand marketing strategy to maximise growth."
