Under plans being examined by Bauer Media’s product development team, Kiss could be distributed free on a weekly basis from later this year around London and the UK. The magazine’s content would also be available digitally.

Although a final decision on the launch has not been made, Kiss could have a circulation target of approximately 400,000 in print and 700,000 online. The launch follows the announcement that NME, the 63-year-old Time Inc UK title, will be distributed free from September.

Last week, ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 reported that Dennis Publishing was also looking to launch a free weekly aimed at men with a circulation of 300,000.

The free weeklies market currently includes: ShortList, the men’s lifestyle magazine; Stylist, the fashion-focused women’s title; the talkSport title Sport; and Time Out, the London-oriented entertainment magazine.

A Bauer Media spokeswoman said: "We have always stated our ambition to launch new print titles and are always exploring new ideas. We cannot comment any further on individual projects."
