Mojo 60s covers all aspects of music from the period across its 132 pages and feature photographs, interviews with leading figures from the period and a focus on key events that helped shape the modern world.
The magazine will also include an exclusive seven-inch single featuring two tracks from 'Smile', the "lost" Beach Boys album set for release later this year.
To accompany the giveaway, the magazine will carry an exclusive interview with Brian Wilson detailing the making of the 1967 album.
Alongside this, Mojo 60 will publish previously unseen photos of Jimi Hendrix in London in 1966 and unseen side-stage photographs of The Beatles on their first US tour in 1964.
Other editorial highlights will include a look back at James Brown's 1968 concert in Vietnam by those that were there, a focus on LSD and the music of the 60s that includes the last ever interview with acid guru Timothy Leary.
Phil Alexander, editor-in-chief of Mojo, said: "The decision to create this Mojo special edition is based on the fact that the 60s continues to resonate.
"As a result there are countless stories which we do not either have room to tell in the main magazine, or which we have already told but have now achieved new relevance.
"The aim is to create a magazine that has all the depth and quality of Mojo but focused solely on one decade."
The magazine, which is housed in slipcase, will be on sale on the newsstand for three months priced £9.99.
According to the most recent figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulations, Mojo had an average monthly circulation of 91,678 during the second half of last year, a drop of 3.9% year on year.
