A spokesperson from the Battersea Power Station Development Company, told Event: "Given the iconic status of the Power Station, we knew it would be one of the more popular attractions at Open House London this weekend. We therefore planned for large numbers of visitors and were very pleased with the incredible response from the public.
"We understand the importance of Battersea Power Station to millions of Londoners. It has been an iconic part of the city’s landscape for decades. We therefore wanted the public to be able to visit it in its current state before the redevelopment of the site gets under way next month."
The company said that the venue’s Pop-Up Park had been popular with visitors since its launch in July, and there are plans to host future events on the site throughout the redevelopment phase.
