Barclaycard World Freerun comes to the BBC

The BBC will bec the official broadcaster of the Barclaycard World Freerun Championships to be held in Trafalgar Square.

The event, in its second year and taking place on 15 August, hopes to attract up to 7,000 fans to Trafalgar Square

Barclaycard has created a Facebook fan page for fans to sign up for tickets.

The event will feature 27 freerunners representing 17 countries who will take on a specially designed course in Trafalgar Square.

Dan Mathieson, Head of Sponsorship at Barclaycard, said, 'The world championships are going from strength to strength and this live broadcast of the final demonstrates the growing importance and popularity of this sport and enables Barclaycard to take the sport to a far wider audience internationally'.
