Bang pushes July issue with poster art promotion

LONDON - Future Publishing's music magazine Bang is to include a series of collectible art cards in its July issue, as part of a promotion inspired by a new wave of poster art culture.

There will be two sets of the A4 cards, one featuring images of The Strokes, The Vines, The Datsuns, while the other shows The White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age and Radiohead. Each issue will carry one of the two sets.

Bang editors The Gloom Brothers said: "Poster art culture is all the rage in the US and various exhibitions across the UK are already incorporating this new breed of artists within their programmes.

"We have secured the best artists in the US such as Jermaine Rogers and Justin Hampton. The cards are extremely collectible and will look great on your wall."

Bang was launched in March to focus on the new rock scene.

The July issue, out on June 20, includes interviews with Radiohead and Manic Street Preachers as well as an article by Marilyn Manson about dead rock stars.
