Baileys "Nutcracker" by Bartle Bogle Hegarty

Baileys’ Christmas ad is a luscious retelling of Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker. Bartle Bogle Hegarty created the spot, which follows a group of girls making their way through a forest and into a party. After picking up a glass of Baileys, one of the girls, Clara, catches the eye of the Nutcracker Prince and they begin to dance. Tensions flare when the Mouse King, who had been watching enviously, leaps from the balcony, gathers his entourage and pursues Clara. After a brief skirmish, she decides to return to her friends and the spot ends with the line: "Spend time with the girls this Christmas." It was created by Ed Cole and Lewis Mooney, and directed by Ringan Ledwidge through Rattling Stick. Post-production was handled by The Mill.
