Bacardi promotes Mojito Classic with debut national TV campaign

LONDON - Rum brand Bacardi is launching the first national TV campaign for its new pre-mixed beverage brand, Mojito Classic, after a successful run in Scotland.

The campaign features a 10-second spot that will be paired with a 20-second spot for the Bacardi Superior 'Mojito Elixir' campaign, demonstrating the use of Bacardi rum in mojitos.

Planned and executed by UM London, the activity will kick off tonight across terrestrial and digital stations and will run until Christmas Eve.

The ad aired in Scotland in October, sparking consumer interest and driving sales. UM London said sales of Bacardi Mojito Classic in Scotland were 82% higher than those in England and Wales following the ad.

Launched earlier this year, Bacardi Mojito Classic is a pre-mixed drink not to be confused with Bacardi Superior, which is straight rum.
