Bacardi global brand chief in departure

LONDON - Bacardi's global brand director, Guy Lawrence, is leaving the company after 16 years to become the chief executive of a luxury concierge service.

Lawrence will join global luxury lifestyle group Quintessentially in January, as chief executive of its concierge division. He replaces Aaron Simpson, who becomes executive chairman. Simpson said Lawrence would 'deepen our consumer and marketing focus'.

Having held a range of sales and marketing positions at Bacardi, Lawrence also sits on the committee of the Branded Content Marketing Association as well as being a member of The Marketing Society.

Bacardi had yet to announce Lawrence's replacement as Marketing went to press.
