Bacardi Breezer has strengthened its online offering by signing a
five-figure deal with FilmFour to sponsor a 100 Greatest Film Stars
microsite.
Users can nominate their favourite film stars on the microsite
(www.filmfour.com/stars) until 16 November, and the Top 100 will be
announced just before Christmas.
Hosted by Tom Cat, the star of the recent Bacardi Breezer ad campaigns,
the microsite also offers branded screensavers and e-cards, and provides
a link to a competition page on the Bacardi Breezer web site
(www.bacardi-breezer.co.uk).
The drinks brand recently announced a promotion with Emap Digital's
clubbing site mixmag.com to offer users the chance to win VIP tickets to
a branded club night in Newcastle (Revolution, 7 November, p10).
"Site sponsorship is only a part of our overall marketing strategy, but
a promotion like this offers a lot more than basic banner and button
advertising," said Graeme Harrison, director of Subway 10, the digital
brand development agency that co-ordinates Bacardi's online
strategy.
"With FilmFour we are able to get the brand integrated into the content
of the site and get users interacting with something that they really
enjoy," he added.
The microsite was designed and built by FilmFour and follows the 100
Greatest Films campaign that ran on its site earlier this year.
