The new Audi Q8 makes a grand entrance to Verdi, played by the 100-strong Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra.

As the SUV rolls out of a container, the orchestra breaks into an epic swoon of Verdi’s Dies Irae, momentarily coming to a halt when the players are stunned by its power and elegance. The TV ad’s premiere was accompanied by a live 16-piece orchestra and 40-strong choir at the BFI Southbank in London, which was streamed via Periscope and Twitter. Filmed at the Odessa Port in Ukraine, the ad was created by Simon Cenamor and Raymond Chan and directed by Sam Brown through Rogue Films.
