UK revenues are up 30 per cent from $3.2m (£2m) in the equivalent period in 2001.
In third-quarter financial results for the three months to 30 September, Ask Jeeves' global revenues amounted to $17.8m (£11.4m), up from $15.4m (£9.9m) a year ago.
The company posted a pre-tax loss of $3.4m (£2.2m) in the quarter, but expects to achieve operating profitability in the last three months of 2002.
Adrian Cox, Ask Jeeves UK's chief executive, said: "The UK has contributed to the company's positive cash-flow position since Ask Jeeves Inc acquired Carlton and Granada's share of Ask Jeeves UK in February."
Ask Jeeves UK, which employs 65 people, secures half its revenues from branded advertising and 45 per cent from pay-for-placement services, comprising Ask Jeeves Answer Links and paid-for-placement services provided by Espotting Media.
"Paid-for-placement has contributed significantly to our overall performance this year," said Cox. "The change in share ownership has also been hugely beneficial. We're now part of an organisation that is totally focused on our business."
Carlton and Granada sold their 50 per cent stake in Ask Jeeves UK to Ask Jeeves Inc for about $2.5 million (£1.6m) in cash, stock and ads on the broadcasters' media networks.
