Dutton will be responsible for helping to strengthen Arnold's core capabilities outside the US, overseeing a client list that includes Panasonic, Jack Daniel's and Fidelity Investments.

He will report to Arnold's global chief executive Andrew Benett, who joined the agency last month, and will work closely with him in developing the agency's presence in Asia and South America.

Havas-owned Arnold has offices in London, Madrid, Lisbon, Prague, Milan, Boston, New York and Washington DC.

During his time at Euro RSCG's luxury agency, Dutton helped the agency secure new business from brands such as Jaguar, Louis Vuitton and Emporio Armani.

Before working at the agency, he spent five years in South Africa working for Ogilvy.

Benett said: "Nick is a perfect addition to the leadership team at Arnold – his extensive global experience will make him an asset on our current businesses and to our plans for expansion."
