The spot, called "toys", starts by showing a child’s bedroom in which everything is white. Colourful toys then explode into the room through the walls in slow motion. The ad is set to a choral rendition of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy.
The ad, created by CHI & Partners, will launch tomorrow. It follows the first ad in the series, "brilliant", which was unveiled on 14 October. It is the retailer’s first campaign since dropping the alien mascots.
The latest ad was created by Ben Stump and Simon Findlater, who are both creatives at CHI & Partners, and directed by Linnea Bergman through Friend London. The media agency is Mindshare.
Last week, Argos announced it had partnered with digital skills charity Go On UK to run a series of digital workshops in 120 of its stores.
It wants to help some of the 6.4 million British adults who are still not online to improve their digital skills.
