The offer lasts until July 11, and extends to over 30,000 DVD titles available through the website. Customers can access a promotional code printed in Argos' "Big Kick Off" flyer, which they can pick up when they buy a DVD player from the store.
The promotional code entitles consumers to 10 free DVD rentals over a six-week period. The titles will be delivered straight to their door at no extra cost, and up to three DVDs can be kept at any one time.
Alistair Macrow, managing director of Blockbuster online, said: "We have no doubt that Argos customers will enjoy taking advantage of this deal during the football season. Whether you love it or hate it, everyone needs some light relief at some point."
Blockbuster is supplementing the promotion with a range of football themed activities on its website, as part of the build up to this year's World Cup in Germany.
The "Big Kick Off" flyers will be available through Argos, which has more than 650 stores nationwide. The campaign will be supported by ads in the national press.
