Blockbuster offers free big budget hits in DVD promotion

LONDON - Blockbuster, the DVD rental chain, has launched a promotion allowing customers to choose a free copy of three of last year's most popular movies, including 'King Kong'.

The promotion, which begins this week, will allow customers to choose a free copy of 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', 'King Kong' or 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire', with every purchase of a Blockbuster 10-rental voucher book.

David Llewellyn, marketing director for Blockbuster UK, said: "We are really pleased to be able to offer such a premium selection of titles as part of the deal and are sure it will be a huge hit with our existing members and hopefully draw in new members."

Blockbuster will advertise the promotion, which runs until May 1, in the national press and through in-store activity.
