The Group was contracted to install 5,178 permanent seats, and 2,000 temporary seats from its Clearview range to increase the ground’s capacity to 17,500.
Dave Withey, Arena Seating sales and marketing director, said: "The Clearview system is ideal for venues like Durham looking for a flexible, cost-effective permanent solution which can be increased quickly and efficiently when demand requires."
Work on the event began in May, for which Arena Structures also supplied corporate double-deck hospitality boxes for the five-day event.
Richard Dowson, Durham CCC chief operating officer, said: "As a ground we’ve always used a lot of temporary infrastructure but winning the Ashes we wanted to permanently increase our capacity and put ourselves on a level playing ground with other international venues.
"The beauty of it is that we now have permanent infrastructure but we still get the flexibility to adapt and add more as required – such as we’re doing for the Ashes. This is vital for the club in the future as we look to host a wider range or larger scale events."
