Lastminute.com, the online vendor of perishable inventory, has begun
”aggressive expansion” in the UK and Europe with two senior
appointments.
Tom Virden is now European director and Sep Riahi joins as vice-president
of business development. Virden previously worked as managing director of
Netscape Netcenter Europe. In his new role, he will be responsible for
launching the business into continental Europe. Riahi brings to his new
role experience gained during three years with Sony Pictures in both the
US and London.
