In addition, AOL UK becomes the web portal partner for the PFA’s official website, GiveMeFootball.com, a joint venture between the online publisher Sports New Media and the PFA.

The latest partnership will give football fans visiting AOL UK Sport (www.aol.co.uk/sport) a variety of content, including interviews, blogs, quizzes and online voting.

It follows similar deals made by AOL to enhance its sport and entertainment portals. In November, AOL UK and Amuso.com launched an interactive website dedicated to the Miss World pageant on AOL UK’s Entertainment channel.

Nina Vanneck, AOL Europe’s director of sport, said: "We’re always looking for ways to provide richer experiences for our audience, while at the same time helping advertisers target key audiences."
