AOL man creates ad-deleting program

An AOL employee has created a program which deletes ads from AOL’s Instant Messenger chat application.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - An AOL employee has created a program which deletes ads from AOL’s Instant Messenger chat application.

Justin Frankel posted the free application on the website of Nullsoft -– a company AOL bought from Frankel. It now appears that the program has been removed from the site.

In March, Frankel and some of his colleagues created Gnutella, a Napster-type program which distributes music files over the internet. AOL pulled the program from Nullsoft.com. (Ananova)
