
Candidates for the newly created roles need to have significant print experience and already hold a senior position at a lifestyle publication, says the company.
The search comes as part of a concerted effort by AOL to improve its editorial content, led by global chief executive Tim Armstrong.
The company is currently in the middle of a major redundancy programme, in which 1,200 employees around the world are expected to lose their jobs.
Last month, AOL's UK managing director Michael Steckler and AOL Advertising sales director Sarah Perry both left the company as part of the cost-cutting process.
