AOL adds Rise Communications to its roster of agencies

LONDON - Rise Communications, the communications planning agency, has been appointed by AOL to work on its broadband offer.

The agency will work alongside AOL's existing roster agencies, which include Grey and the media agency Vizeum, to increase the efficiency of the ISP's marketing and offer advice on overall communications strategy.

Sharon Lang, the vice-president of marketing for AOL, said: "Rise Communications offers the expertise to help our agency partners deliver the correct messages in the appropriate environment."

At the same time, Rise has appointed Ollie Joyce as its third partner. Joyce was previously the general manager at ZenithOptimedia, running its L'Oreal, Allied Domecq and MFI business.

Joyce joins Simon Mathews and John Wigram as a partner in the agency. He replaces Andrew Goulborn, a founding partner of Rise, who left the agency last year to become the marketing director of Ipswich Town Football Club.
