Robinson joins from Moving Venue, where he was function manager, and in his new role he will be responsible for the operational team and the delivery of all events.
Ampersand head of sales and operations Natalie Mainwaring said: "Simon is an accomplished and enthusiastic senior manager with extensive knowledge of London’s most iconic venues and events operations – and possesses tremendous experience in both front and back of house areas. He will be a great addition to the team."
Robinson has also previously worked at The Recipe, Hamley’s, and Searcy’s, and said it was a "hugely exciting and challenging time to be joining Ampersand Events".
"The business is booming; it is producing events of the highest quality; and has ambitions to get even better," said Robinson. "I will do all I can to make this happen."
Last year Ampersand added venues to its books including The London Transport Museum, The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum, The Museum of London, Wakehurst Place, and The Cutty Sark.
