Amanda Ball to take group marketing director role at merged Help the Aged and Age Concern

LONDON - Help the Aged's director of fundraising and marketing Amanda Ball has been appointed group marketing director for the charity being created by its forthcoming merger with Age Concern.

Ball will be responsible for devising and implementing an income-generation strategy, as well as handling the consolidated charity's engagement and marketing strategy with older people and other key stakeholders.

Ball joined Help the Aged almost three years ago, initially as an interim fundraising director, before taking on responsibility for the marketing functions in September 2007. She has also held directorships at the RNID and National Autistic Society.

The merger of Help the Aged and Age Concern will take place in April. The name of the new organisation has yet to be revealed.
