AKQA and Google lead UK Digital Craft shortlist nominations

Out of ten nominations for UK entrants, AKQA and Google have secured two apiece.

AKQA London is in the running for a Digital Craft Lion for its work on Sir David Attenborough's Story of Life for the BBC Worldwide and Nike+ Training Club.

Another piece of work for the BBC, "BBC Home: a VR spacewalk" by Rewind St. Albans also made it on the list.

Google Creative Lab London meanwhile was nominated for "Speak to go" and "Back to life in virtual reality: Rhomaleosaurus & Giraffatitan".

Both AKQA and Google also performed well out of the US agencies shortlisted. Google was named five times with two of the nominations for Tilt Brush.

AKQA in turn received three nominations: two for work on an agency project "Education book" and one for Nike+ Trial Zone.

Intel Santa Clara was shortlisted three times for "Intel X The Royal Shakespeare Company X The Imaginarium: The Tempest" and is also up for "Super Bowl drones half time show".

In total, the US had 36 entries on the shortlist.
