Ai's 35 staff will move into the twentysix group offices near Baker Street, joining the 45 staff at twentysix London. Frakes said there would be no redundancies as a result of the merger and that Ai London’s creative director, Maxine Gregson, would lead the combined creative team.
Twentysix London rebranded this year from Incepta Online, following its acquisition by Media Square last year. Media Square also owns Ai, formerly Arnold Interactive, which it bought in 2004.
The agencies' combined clients include Royal Bank of Scotland, the Post Office, Volvo Ocean Race, National Express, House of Fraser, Samsung, Waitrose and Universal Music.
Eames said: "The merger comes at a time of considerable growth in the digital industry with clients driving this increasing demand for digital services."
"The new enlarged business will put us in a much stronger strategic position to meet this demand and provide the best possible digital solutions for both existing and potential clients."
Frakes added: "Increasingly we are being asked to respond to international briefs across multiple channels. Merging Ai London and twentysix London enhances our potential for creativity and innovation, while reinforcing the breadth of our commercial offer."
