Aguilera comes over all saucy in new Skechers campaign

LONDON - US footwear brand Skechers has released details of its new international advertising campaign, starring Christina Aguilera as a 'naughty' and a 'nice' character, which sees her don nurse and police uniforms.

The international magazine campaign launches in August and portrays the pop star as a sexy pin-up style teacher, nurse and policewoman alongside an equally provocative schoolgirl, injured patient and street criminal.

The dual image allows Skechers to feature twice as many styles, including footwear from its Active, Sport and Somethin' Else ranges.

Aguilera's 18-month contract with the footwear label runs until February 2005. It is not clear whether she will renew her contract with upcoming tour dates and work on her new album.

The sexy work for Skechers follows the humorous TV campaign for Virgin Mobile, featuring the 'Dirrty' singer in what Virgin billed as its "sexiest ever" creative, part of its "Devil makes work for idle thumbs" campaign.

In the Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R spot, two construction workers mistakenly believe they have caught a glimpse of the singer having sex in an office boardroom and quickly text their friends, creating a media circus.

"I agreed to be part of Skechers' international marketing team because I like its image -- youthful but edgy. It has attitude and is willing to try new ideas -- refreshing," Aguilera said.

The creative for the new campaign was developed by the footwear firm's in-house designers.
