Agency.com snaps up Exile as it plans itraffic rebrand

NEW YORK - Agency.com is to rebrand its US itraffic offices following the acquisition of online advertising agency Exile on Seventh LLC, whose clients include eBay.

San Francisco-based Exile on Seventh will be integrated into Agency.com's San Francisco office and take on the Agency.com brand name. The company also plans to transform its itraffic offices in New York, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco offices under the Agency.com brand. The move will not affect itraffic in London.

Exile on Seventh's president Alan Burgis is to take on the role of senior vice-president at Agency.com, reporting to Don Scales, president and chief operating officer.

Scales said: "Online advertising is the fastest growing area of interactive marketing and a core part of our business. However, strategic decisions like this are not made lightly. Alan and his team are a perfect match for Agency.com -- both culturally and professionally."

Agency.com is part of the Omnicom Group, and counts British Airways, Discovery Channel and Visa among its clients.
