Agency Republic creates online push for BBCMundo.com

LONDON - Agency Republic has created an advertising campaign to promote BBC World Service's Latin America website BBCMundo.com.

The 12-week promotion will cover 15 countries including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and the US. Ads promoting will appear on more than 50 sites including 17 Terra.com six MSN portals.

The campaign includes rich-media overlays and image-led ad units, in addition to a downloadable screensaver.

Alan Booth, controller of BBC World Service marketing, said: "More and more people are using the internet across Latin America. International news sites are proving increasingly popular among online users."

He added: "The BBC's Spanish-language site offers people an unparalleled source of up-to-date news from around the world. That's why we are launching our biggest ever marketing campaign aimed at introducing people to the BBC."

The campaign was created, planned and bought by Agency Republic.
