The account is believed to be a new brief for the market, where Land Rover has not previously had a local CRM agency.

RFIs were sent out last week and chemistry meetings will be held next week.

ISBA is understood to be supporting Land Rover on the pitch.

Land Rover appointed OgilvyOne to handle the global digital account in November last year.

The agency won the business after a pitch against the incumbent and sister WPP agency, Blast Radius.

Another WPP shop, Wunderman, had previously worked on the worldwide account for four years.

The search for an agency follows record profits for Jaguar Land Rover, which owns the Range Rover and Jaguar brands.

JLR made £1.7 billion in the year to March, with a 20 per cent sales increase in Britain.
