Adults urged to 'stay curious' in Suzuki TV push

LONDON - Viewers will be urged to 'stay curious' in the latest advertising for the Suzuki Grand Vitara, one of the biggest ad campaigns undertaken by the Japanese motor company in the UK.

The ads, created by Nexus/H, break this week on ITV1, Channel 4 and satellite channels.

It shows children in a schoolyard expressing their natural curiosity for life by peeking over fences and examining what is going on around them. The campaign asks: "Why lose your spirit of adventure just because you grow up?", with the strapline "Stay curious". It suggests that the Grand Vitara five-door 4x4 allows adults to satisfy their curiosity.

The 拢1.3m campaign runs on television for three weeks and will be supported by a national press campaign and online activity. Barry Jennings was the art director on the ad, and it was directed by Pete Salmi of Joy Films.

Suzuki has traditionally focused more on print advertising in the UK, but this year it decided to increase its presence on television. Previous TV campaigns this year have featured separate executions for the Liana and Ignis models.

Other clients of the Tunbridge Wells-based Nexus/H agency include Asahi Beer and Sharp Electronics.
