Mooney, vice-president marketing for the UK, who joined Tata in September, has been appointed to the role of vice-president marketing EMEA. In the newly created role, Mooney will create a marketing function for the EMEA region.
Before joining Tata, Mooney was interim head of marketing at Weetabix, and was previously commercial director at Heinz, where he oversaw the sauces portfolio. He has also held senior marketing roles at Remington and Goodfella's, the Northern Foods frozen-pizza brand.
Separately, John Phillips has also joined Tata Global Beverages as its new out-of-home controller in the UK, looking after the Tetley brand. Philips joins from Georgia Pacific, where he was national account controller on the Lotus Professional brand.
Yesterday (23 May), Tata reported a 10% rise in consolidated income, to £752.7m for the year ended 31 March.
Last week, as part of its first attempt to build its corporate brand outside India, the company launched Tata Global Beverages Re-imagination Scholarships with Brunel University, which is near its UK head office in Uxbridge, Middlesex.
The scholarships are intended for talented students from "challenging" backgrounds.
