ACP-Natmag backs Real People with £6m

The Anglo-Australian publisher ACP-NatMag is set to launch new title Real People this Thursday, backed by a £6m marketing campaign.

The real life weekly magazine will be the third title from the collaboration between Australian Consolidated Press and The National Magazine Company.

Real People will enter into the increasingly competitive women's weekly sector priced at 60p.

ACP-Natmag currently publishes the weekly titles Reveal and Best in the UK.

Colin  Morrison,  chief Executive of ACP-NatMag, said: "Real People  is the exciting product of 18 months' R&D, and represents our latest multi-million pound investment  in  the dynamic weekly magazine  market where total copy sales increased by some 20% during 2005."

Media  planning  and  buying for REAL PEOPLE is being handled by Initiative Media. The campaign includes TV, outdoor and  press, under the slogan: "There's a time and a place to share your story".
