
There will also be a sketch from double-act Cardinal Burns who have their own E4 series, and a fusion of music and comedy from Frisky and Mannish, Abandoman, Isy Suttie (Peep Show, Dave’s One Night Stand), and Gareth Richards (previous Co-host of The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio).
The activity is part of Absolute’s investment in comedy – one of the station’s core "brand pillars".
"Comedy is an integral part of our brand strategy. It has joined music and football as our third brand pillar," said Absolute Radio content director Tony Moorey.
"Live comedy is truly in the nation’s hearts – who’d have thought that comedians would be selling out arena tours and The O2? Festivals are the perfect place to get a first glimpse at the megastars of tomorrow and the Absolute Radio Comedy Tent at the Cornbury Festival will certainly be that," he added.
