Abel & Baker goes mix'n'match on new Ikea microsite

LONDON - Ikea is backing the launch of its new textiles range with a microsite and banner advertising campaign.

The , built by Abel & Baker, lets users decorate a blank room with different fabrics and other materials to see what it would look like. This can then be printed out and taken as a shopping list to Ikea, or even emailed for someone else to look at.

Users can get to the site via or by clicking on banner ads, which will run on women's websites, including iVillage, Handbag.com and Freeserve's Icircle, until the end of April.

Abel & Baker worked with Ikea's advertising agency Karmarama and MediaCom on the project. It previously designed a microsite to go with Karmarama's "Live UnLtd" campaign last year.

Africa Reboto, advertising manager for Ikea, said: "Abel & Baker worked very will with other agencies on the 'Noshing' microsite and created something truly innovative. The new textile microsite already proves that the first project was not just a one-off success for Abel & Baker."
