
The organisation is offering the Home Emergency Response policy to non-members and a discounted rate to members. It currently has in the region of 15 million people taking its motor breakdown cover.
The plumbing and electrician service, Home Assist, is being piloted in the South East.

"AA Home Emergency Response is more than insurance cover as, like AA car breakdown cover, it removes the hassle of finding a quality tradesman at short notice. The AA prides itself on great customer service and we believe that millions of householders will look to the AA to also help them in the home."
Past brand extensions have taken the AA into the insurance and financial services sectors.
