Hollyoaks characters can be seen arm-wrestling, christening a baby and passionately embracing in the local pub in a spot showing off the breadth of plots on the show.
Set in the heart of the soap’s community, The Dog In The Pond, the one-minute film begins with its landlady, Mercedes McQueen (played by Jennifer Metcalfe), throwing open its doors at the start of the day.
"Hollyoaks – table for 45" was created by Scott Taylor and Andy Shrubsole at Channel 4’s in-house creative agency, 4Creative, and directed by Alex Boutell.
The single-angle-shot film reveals a wide range of encounters that take place in the pub during the course of an "average day" in Hollyoaks.
The campaign ends with the tagline: "It all happens here."
It will air tonight (14 May) at 8pm on social media, Channel 4 and ITV.
Channel 4’s head of marketing, James Walker, said: "We wanted to reflect the warm and colourful world of the soap, as well as show the range of its storytelling.
"The team in 4Creative have captured Hollyoaks’ unique spirit and unfailing optimism through a series of everyday scenarios where, no matter what life throws at you, life is for living large and looking good!"
