The primary role of The Search Works, which claims to be the UK's largest search specialist, is to drive traffic to the people search function, including their subscription electoral roll service.

This will be done in part by reviewing 192.com's search editorial and approach to keywords.

Chris Simpson, The Search Works' interim managing director, said: "192.com has become one of the most widely-used directories in the UK and, with the recent addition of the fantastic Super Zoom feature on the site's online mapping service, 192.com is rapidly increasing its dominance."

Katie Gardner, 192.com's marketing manager, added that the company had been seeking an agency with a new creative approach.
