
The online gaming firm has signed deals with both Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers, replacing JJB and Reebok respectively.
Reebok is also the stadium naming-rights partner of Bolton Wanderers. However, a spokesman for the club confirmed the 188Bet deal would not change this aspect of the deal with Reebok, which runs until 2016.
In January, Reebok, which housed its staff in offices at Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium and has had a base in the Greater Manchester town for more than a century, announced plans to move its operation to Adidas' headquarters in Stockport.
Wigan and Bolton will wear the 188Bet-sponsored kits for the first time this weekend when the two clubs play their penultimate games of the 2008/09 football season.
In recent years a raft of online gaming companies have turned to football sponsorship as a way to reach core consumers. The biggest current deal in the Premier League is Mansion's sponsorship of Tottenham Hotspur, while SBOBET is the current shirt sponsor of West Ham United.
Fellow gaming companies Bet24, 888.com and 32Red have also signed sponsorship deals with Premier League clubs in the past.
