100 rock and movie icons talk to Uncut for century edition

LONDON - Veteran rock stars Keith Richards and Sir Paul McCartney have come together for the cover of Uncut's 100th issue, which contains 100 rock and movie icons describing their favourite fiml or song.

The pair, who chose Chuck Berry's 'Johnny B Goode' and Elvis Presley's 'Heartbreak Hotel' respectively, head a list of famous names including Michael Stipe, Bjork, Robert Rodriguez and Gene Wilder.

Editor Allan Jones said: "It's a real testament to Uncut that this incredible line-up of music and movie stars have given up their time to contribute to our 100th issue."

On sale today priced £4.20, the magazine comes with a cover-mounted CD, 'Highway 61 Revisited Revisited'. This contains cover versions of all nine songs on of Bob Dylan's classic album by nine artists including Paul Westerberg and American Music Club.

The magazine's 100th issue celebrations have also seen it run a series of gigs at the 100 Club this week, featuring Ed Harcourt and The Earlies.
