Zoo set to enter Spanish market

Emap is seeking a bigger slice of the international men's magazine market with the launch of the first international edition of its weekly title Zoo.

The lads' magazine will be published in Spain as part of a joint venture with Focus Ediciones. It will tie in with the publisher's recently launched weekly title Sie7e, which will be relaunched this week as Zoo Sie7e.

A UK team has been working with Focus Ediciones to ensure brand consistency.

The Spanish company has published FHM in Spain under licence since March 2004. Insiders expect Emap to strike similar deals with other international publishing partners.
